Full Mouth Restoration
Now patients who are missing teeth have a strong, beautiful alternative to bridges, partials, or full dentures. Dental implants and the All-On-4 procedure will improve your smile and your lifestyle. They look, feel, and function like natural teeth because of a titanium anchor attached to the jawbone. Implants and All-On-4 can also anchor bridges, partials, or full dentures to eliminate slipping. If you are interested in replacing one or missing teeth or a full-mouth restoration, call Dr. Mace and his office at James G. Mace DDS in Washington, Missouri. Dr. Mace and his team are committed to improving smiles across Washington, Missouri and even offer pay-as-you-go payment plan options.
What is the Difference Between Dental Implants and All-On-4s?
Dental implants can be a solution for a broad range of dental problems. They are a great option for replacing one missing tooth to supporting a full-mouth restoration to replace an entire set of teeth. Simply, dental implants are an innovative technology that places a screw in your jaw bone to support one or more teeth. For full-mouth restorations, the All-On-4s procedure, created by Nobel Biocare, places four to five metal screws in the jawbone to support a bottom or top set of teeth. This alternative to partial or full dentures offers Dr. Mace’s patients a comfortable, natural, and functional smile restoration.
Does Dr. Mace Do Full-Mouth Restorations In-Office?
Yes! After a thorough evaluation, Dr. Mace can tell you whether you are a candidate for dental implants or All-On-4s. To determine if you are a candidate, we will take a 3D scan of the jaw needing treatment with our CareStream 8100 CBCT system. This allows Dr. Mace to virtually plan your case and determine how best to safely place an implant. The first stage of the procedure involves careful planning, imaging, and design to ensure a successful outcome. During the surgical procedure, a titanium post is implanted into the jaw. The number of implants needed for each situation varies, but Dr. Mace has worked with implant cases for many years and has the knowledge and experience to properly plan your case. After the implant is placed, nature will take its course, allowing your bone tissue to fuse with the titanium post, creating a solid foundation that is used to restore your smile and chewing ability. Once the implants are secured, Dr. Mace will attach a handcrafted, permanent crown, bridge, or full set of teeth to the posts. The restorations will match your natural teeth and blend seamlessly with your smile.
